my 98 civic dx will start and rev. as soon as i put under load it dies. i have replaced the fuel filter, regulator valve, MAPS sensor. tested pump tested good. will the car run and rev with a bad pump?

inline fuel pressure gauge to see what is going on the moment it dies.

i assume you also replaced the air filter

No..........would that keep car from being put under load? going to change today
