1997 Overheats within 10-15 minutes and shuts off till cools down

Could be a number of things bad thermostat, water pump, clogged radiator or cooling system, fans not coming on , low anti - freeze. Radiator fins can be clogged with dirt and bugs not having enough air flow across radiator fins. Like I said it can be a number of things.
