Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok, so I just bought a Geo Tracker. I test drove it and everything was
almost perfect one it! Well the next day I went to town and it started this
jumping or "skipping". We changed the distributor cap and the rotor and its
still doing it. Could it be trash in my fuel filter? Its acting like a fuel problem,
and there was some trash in my gas, but also the distributor cap was really
bad corroded on it. Also the spark plugs were not even tight in it. I don't
know what to look at or for. I've never owned one of these. Please help!
I've done sunk $200 into it trying to figure out what my problem is!
