i was informed that japan only allows 50,000 miles on a new car, and that these engines can be bought as used engines in america. I'm looking for used geo metro 3-cyl. engines [97, 98. 99.

You won't, I have looked. But look on the bright side, there are people with 300,000 miles(I said that right,300K miles) on the block. It might take a rebuild somewhere on the way, but that can be done for around 250US. I rebuilt mine and it runs great!

i find used motors all the time from japan on craigslist, ty looking in portland oregon area and get it shipped to your house
