How to pull rear axle on my 1988 f250 5.8l 4x4? Also; what is the best way to get a drum unstuck?

Removing the Drum: It's part of the hub assembly. Remove the axle, the jamb nut, keeper, bearing nut, washer and outer bearing and then pull off the drum/hub assembly. You will most likely need a special socket to disassemble if not properly reassemble and properly preload the bearings. PS. Don't forget to pack the wheel bearings with grease before you reassemble them - the gear oil from the differential DOES NOT lubricate them!
