i have recently become an owner of a sweet 1988 Mazda rx7 and my buddy says my rear wheel wobbles what could the problem(s) be?

Guess the obvious thing would be to first look to see if the lugnuts on that wheel are loose. I would assume you already checked that, so it might be something related to the axle...have it checked out ASAP.
