reporting false advertising on CarGurus. (bait and switch)

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I had a dealer increase his advertised  price an additional $900 on a Honda Civic listed on CarGurus soon after I called to inquire. I even had an e-mail confirmation from the dealer with the original lower price.  I went there with a cashiers check and the e-mail and they still would not honor the original price. They claimed it had been a mistake. However, I am suspecting the dealer used CarGurus for a bait and switch.  How to I report this dealer to Cargurus and readers?

What was the $900 increase for? Did they ad equipment and fail to mark the add on the car? There can be a good explaination for it because not all dealers are bad. Mistakes happen and if it was a piece of equipment, it could just be a honest mistake. If it was just an upcharge then I believe that is wrong. If you agree to a price stick to it. If it was a mistake then be a business person and justify it.

I'm having the same issue with Toyota. Adding over a grand in hidden fees. When I said "Bull$hit" They said quote: "it's a $900 destination charge. We have to do this in order to stay competitive online in the area. We don't like it, but unfortunately they all started doing it so we had to follow suit." At least this dealer is honest about the bogus prices. All buyers know about TTL and most know about their $150-$250 "dealer" prep fees. Now this. CarGurus should fix or be liable too.
