The car acts like the battery is dead it turns over slowly & won't start but run's good once it starts

First thing check battery 12.6 volts and have it load tested, terminals clean and tight? next careful check all grounds to the engine, and connections at the starter. Finally does the starter appear original after 29 yrs!
