Just had heads and gaskets replaced. Was running great then both engine fans stopped and temp gauge is stuck on hot. What's wrong now?

Radiator is full and engine seems to stay
cool. But now once or twice its ruff starting
an acts like its gonna die till drove few
mins. Also seems like its lost Lil power

the fans not working is probably what caused the car to get hot,, are you still running the car now with out the fans working? by the way the fans don't run full time, only when the car gets to a certain temp then they come on til it cools off for awhile then they shut off til it gets back up to temp then come back on then so on,,,
