Motor runs fast when started up and does not stop

Try cleaning the throttle body with a good throttle body cleaner such as CRC..

You may have a vacuum leak .... Get a spray bottle full of water and while the engine is running spray some water around the hose ,,, intake manifold ...etc. If you hear any engine change you may have a leak ..... When did you last change the PVC valve?
