on hot days my car runs like it has a clogged fuel filter , as soon as it gets cool again it runs like a champ

Check thermostat for sticking, cat converter maybe clogged also try a bottle of "Sea Foam" in fuel tank. Does car sit a lot? If so, fuel quality could be problem.
