what is average life expectancy of a 98 stratus
It completely depends on the maintenance history of the car. If the car has been well taken care of then the only maintenance that will have to be done is common repairs such as brake pads, rotors...things of that nature. As with any car the higher the mileage gets the more problems you are going to start to see.
Mine's got 179,000 miles. I had the head gasket problem, two timing belts one transmission, and an exhaust manifold. Other wise just brakes and oil changes. Still on first engine.
My 99 has 186000 on it. Nothing really major done except timing belt/water pump and a bad tranny interface module. Other than that it's pretty much been minor repairs like sensors, thermostat, stuff like that. Still running strong!
2000 just rolled 200000 today with no major issues.
