can you put a 2.0 head on a 2.4 and change it from duel to single

I have cracked head i was going to put a 2.0 motor in it if i can just change it over it would be easier i have 2.0 motors at the shop but nothing for a 2.4

no a 2.4 will not work on 2.0 head that is,but you can pull out and make engine swap.

He's right, you'd need to drop the whole 2.0 engine in if you want to go that route.
