Service Tire pressure system

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a service Tire pressure system alert on my
2013 Dodge Dart Rallye. It isnt registering the
passenger front tire at all. It isn't the tmps in the
tire because I had my tires rotated and the same
issue. Not registering the front passenger Tire. Any
ideas? I also have the lifetime maxcare warranty, is
it something warranty related?

Tire pressure sensor inside of tire on rim has gone bad. Tire has to be removed to replace sensor. Do not think that is covered under warranty.

I don't think so. If that was the case wouldn't it follow the tire where it goes? Like if I moved the tire to the back ,wouldn't the back Tire be reading wrong? It doesn't matter which Tire I put there its still not registering it.

I believe the tpms should relearn the position of the tire after driving over 15 mph for 10 minutes.

On a 2015 Dart (or other Dodge products possibly), If you are showing ----- or a blank line for one of your tires and the sensor DOES work....program it to the vehicle by: Make sure tires are up to pressure. Bring up the tire pressure screen where it shows the tpms pressure at the four wheels. Hold down the RES button on the right side of steering wheel. I did this as I was driving at like 30mph but it may also work while stationary.

We have a 2014 Dodge Dart Ralleye having displaying the "--" for the front-left TPS. I've attempted holding the "RES+" button on the wheel while parked and driving in excess of 30 mph. Still no change..

You need to buy an already programmed sensor if you dont have the ability to do so yourself. On my 2016 Dart sxt 2.0 I bought the 60 dollar one from o'Reillys had my local quick lube put it in, put the tire back on and drove it for about a mile and it reset on it's own. If your sensor is not programmed and you yourself did not program it then it will not read it. Not sure if it's cheaper to buy the non- programmed sensor and have it programmed but it does need more than a simple obd II code checker, usually not real cheap to even have them hook up the machine.
