Question type: General

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota with a bad 4.7 motor. I purchased a 2002 4.7 motor out of a Dodge ram 1500. Now I am told that the two motors will not interchange. Why besides the  intake being much taller on the Ram than the dakota engine. Will they or not interchange?

The only difference I can find is the hang on stuff, like manifolds PS ALT stuff like that but a 4.7 is a 4.7 unless it is the HO version then that one is different but it still should bolt up. I'm sure if someone finds something different they will let you know here. How did you manage to ruin a 4.7?
