what would cause my mini van to have a hard time picking up speed?

when i accelerate the car doesn't pick up speed like it should. RPM's only go up to 4000
and takes a long time to gain speed.

Are your fuel lines clean? Sometimes debris can get in there and cause a sluggish acceleration.

When stopping on the throttle while driving car begins to buck . what cause it to buck.
