Is the 2012 Sonata SE Limited a problem vehicle?

Asked by g_guillory123 Mar 10, 2016 at 11:24 PM about the 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Purchased a 2012 Sonata SE Limited with 46,000 miles today. Parked car
earlier today and noticed free play in steering and heard knocking noise as I
slightly turned steering wheel right and left. After reading your postings, I have
a mind to return car within the 5-day period allowed for return. Please advise.

Sounds like there is some bad front end parts that would need to be replaced, then a front end alignment would need to be done. Probably just miles, wear that is normal. 46,000 miles is a short period of time on these parts, it must have done a lot of bumpy gravel roads. If you like the vehicle, bring it back for them to fix for free, or get your money back and look for something else if they will not fix it.
