full change 9.2 quarts ,, service change 4

What's the difference between service change in full change. I need to replace my pan due to an accident so idk how many qts I need

I'm a girl in first time doing it. Figure it's all common sence but need pointers

My fluid is low how many quarts do I put in I had it serviced already six months ago but apparently it's low
