electrical problem?

never had a problem with this car.  over last 3 months battery light comes off and on. 2x panel goes black, cd player off for about 2 min. 1 mo ago major problem with rpms jumping, panel going black, car downshifting. transm rebuilt, distributor and rotor replaced. within 24 hrs battery lt starts coming on. within 3 days car breaks down. new alternator tried. car runs but loses juice within hrs. HELP!
