won't start after replacing timing belt

Are you sure the belt is lined up correctly or it may not have been tight and jumped a tooth or so...

Yes, we actually had the car running ....before we had started putting all the other parts back on the car...so ..we turned it off to go a head and do this and then it wouldn't start again. We have removed everything again and redid ...the alignment...but it still isn't starting.

OK. Next do you know if it's an ignition or fuel problem? One way to find out is buy some starting fluid, in aerosol can and spray just a little bit NOT TOO MUCH just a 2-3 second burst in to intake while a helper is cranking engine. If it runs for 5 -10 seconds then it's a fuel delivery issue. If not, it's ignition -spark
