GM recommends 5W-30 synthetic or 10W-30 petroleum based oil. If you are driving in heavy traffic on a daily basis I would certainly stick with the synthetic, a bit more expensive but worth every penny for protection.

5w30, either syn[changed @10k] or dino @5k. New filter with each change. Live here in USA desert
