My 2012 MKZ has an interior mirror problem.

Asked by Don Jan 07, 2016 at 07:37 AM about the 2012 Lincoln MKZ FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The interior rear view mirror will not dim properly at night when vehicles follow.  The resulting glare is not good!  Is there any adjustment or repair without replacing the mirror?

Depending on the trim level of your car will determine where the anti glare on/off switch is. It will either have a button on the rear view mirror or it will be in the adjustment menu in the cluster. You can also prove that it works or doesn't by using a flashlight aimed at the photo cell on the mirror to mimic headlights at nighttime.
