misconnected/disconnected vacuum lines

Asked by mjohn2 Mar 26, 2010 at 03:14 PM about the 1990 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My '90 Eldorado w/4.5L has the vacuum lines misconnected. It has a huge backfire when it starts. I have tried to decipher the diagram in the GM official repair manual but find it almost impossible to follow the routing of all the lines shown in the schematics.. The car ran fine until I foolishly disconnected more than one line at a time. I hope you can help me. I've asked other sites but couldn't get much more than copies of what I have in my manual.
Thanks
Mike

Federal or California Emissions Even if I have the same schematics we need to be looking at the same one for me to determine where you misconnected :)
