My caddy rpms work sometimes...then cut out, when working,it surges and stops...what do I need to replace to get rpms to work right?

Try cleaning throttle body and the Idle Air Control Valve or control valve may have to be replaced. Google question with year, make and model of vehicle click on site that tells you how to clean.

This has to do with showing rpms in gauges?! says it's working then says it's not.
