Trading 2008 Impala LS for 2003 Cadillac CTS?

As of right now I drive a 2008 Impala LS. A friend of mine offered a trade for his CTS since he's trying to get a BMW. My Impala is worth an extra grand, and it has 108,xxx miles on it, while the CTS has 130,xxx. I've been reading alot of reviews and they all seem to be terrible. If anyone has had any experiences with an '03 CTS and have an input, that would be awesome.
