comfort in question

Question type: General

I have just purchased a 2010 Impala and this is a very smooth car on the highway.  i too am not impressed with the seats.  I drove 2 hours and have my back is so bad i can hardly walk.  Not a lot of leg room in the back seat.  Although it is new, I am skeptical about the rated gas mileage of 42Mpg.

Unfortunately I did not get to drive more than 1 hour at once in my 2008 Impala, so I could not give you my opinion on that one. Do you have adjustable lumbar controls on your driver seat? Lack of rear leg room is one of my least favorite thing about the Impala. In my case, since I appear to have shorter legs than most people, it would then free some more leg room. Who or where did it say 42 MPG? The EPA estimate is about 18 MPG City and 29 MPG on highway at most, so 42 MPG seems very far off. Typically until the vehicle breaks in, say about 3,000 - 5,000 miles, one does not typically obtain the best fuel economy.
