2009 saturn outlook,how to replace ingnition switch solenoid.$500 labour in GM garage

I had my car at the dealership because the ignition switch wouldn't turn all the way to
lock position. they replaced the ignition switch solenoid. It cost me $655. total, $470
was labour.I know it doesn't take long to replace a solenoid depending where it is
situated.. would someone know  where it is or better how long to replace it ? thank you
