I have a 2009 mercury malan. There is a smell like something may be burning in the cd player, this had occurred 3 times in the pass 2 1/2 years and the knobs have slightly wrinkled, do I need to have this checked asap?

Wow, yes, I'd say so you need to have it checked.asap. Wrinkled = melting knobs, and an odor of "something burning"...get it to a car audio shop, Forget dealer and pull fuse for radio/CD player before you have an electrical fire
