Question type: General

I have a 2009 Camry, underneath the steering wheel on bottom of dash is a little black box with a small red led light.  on the back side of the box is a plunger that can be pushed in.  At times I have seen this light on but cannot find this in the owner's manual anywhere explaining what exactly this is.  Anyone out there have any idea as to what this light box is ??

Sounds like an aftermarket alarm system

you may want to have it removed and/or replaced i had one that the dealer did not know about and it was in valet mode. When i had to disconnect the battery it went live and i could not start my car to save my life.
