Headlight bulbs blowing and breaking despite no water

Headlamp bulbs lasting only a few weeks or days before shattering. What are
possible problems?

First check the alternator output at the battery with vehicle running. The voltage should measure 13.8 to 14.6 volts engine running. If the voltage is in the 17 or above range you have found the problem. DO NOT just install a new alternator because this may not be the issue. Always start with the simple stuff first.
