Factory installed remote start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently both my remote starters will not start the vehicle. I changed the batteries in one
of them for a place to start and that didn't do anything. When the button is pushed the horn
blows once and there are some noises in the engine area but the car doen't start.
Once everything in the previous sentance happened and then the horn blew 3 times .
Is there anything I can check?

The operators manual says something like the door or hood is open and that is not correct. I would like to know if a wire is loose or disconnected but I just don't know where to start looking
