I have a 2008 Mini S (color is Lightning Blue) with 56000 miles (currently). I have it listed on Car Guru for 16K. Would like to trade for an automatic Trans. Any one interested? I'm in B'Ham, AL
Trade for an automatic?! Are you nuts? The six speed is all the reason to have one. Besides, the cost of replacing an automatic on a Mini is in the $8K arena. Scary. I would practice my shifting and learn to love it.
I appreciate al the support and feedback but but I bought the car for my daughter and she was learning but we moved recently to Birmingham where there are some pretty serious hills. I had to replace the clutch and flywheel and now she's just lost her interest. Sooo ... I'm the only person driving it and it's just not my thing.
That sucks. Sounds like you might be better of with a used e46 or e90. So, who trained your daughter to shift anyway? Best of luck.
Auto CVT's got dumped in 2006....6 speed "traditional" auto's are now very reliable... Micheal you must specify year and model to keep the facts clear.
As long as you avoid the r53 and early build r56 automatics you should be fine. Beware if you thought MINI prices were high just wait to see what you can spend in maintenance on a BMW.
