How did you test the alternator because when the battery light comes on that is saying the alternator is not charging.

Took it off had it checked at advance auto the same place I had my starter checked out

If battery light is still on and advanced auto says alternator is good there is two possible answers one is something is wrong with their testing machine or you have a wiring problem to the charging system. First check for a blown alternator fuse next test power going to alternator with a test light should have power going to alternator with engine not running.

I had to jump start my 2011 LTZ and after that, the radio/cd/clock wouldnt work. I realize thats different than what you have going on, but common factor being battery so just want to share what I found out, here on this sight.-- Radio display said "NO VIN". I had to reset the safety feature. Here is the answer that work for me. "The fuse bank for the radio is on the passenger side of the center console. I removed the lower cover, with the power off, I removed the 10 Amp fuse for the "Radio." Fuses are diagramed in the owner's manual. With the fuse removed, I started the car. I then turned the car off, replaced the fuse and turned the key to "ACC" and the radio was "Reset." " -- I was so excited that I found this easy fix that I just want to pass it along. Hopefully, it can help you, if not, it's just good to know.
