how much transmission fluid do I put in on my '88 civic automatic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ran engine til it was hot and checked tranny fluid and it was inbetween low and high on the dipstick.  
Also the car wasnt shifting from time to time on a short drive.  How much if any fluid do I put in?
