DO YOU HAVE TO PROGRAM A KEY FOR A PONTIAC G6

Yes. If you have a known good key put it in the ignition in the run position with the engine off, count to ten, then as quickly as you can pull that one out and put the key you want to program in. Again turn it to the run position with the engine off and count to ten again and then start the engine. Your key is now programmed. If you dont have a known good key than you'll have to tow it to the dealership and have them program you one with their programming interface.
