Computer code C0131 on 2008 chevy Uplander. How do you get light off on dash.

Traction Control/Stability Light. Needs EBCM. Anyway to repair cheap to keep light off. Saw part on Ebay new for $564. Think it requires my vin number as part of code to enter on computer. Live in Houston and wonder if it can be fixed less than Chevy Dealer Quote of $1600
