I have 2008 Audi A4 2.0t just had timing belt replaced lasted 7 days then car went into limp mode dealer says its out of timing but when I brought back to the shop who did the belt says no it isn't out of timing . I went there yesterday and he adjusted the crank and it looks like it is one tooth out so he is replacing the belt and setting in time . Thing is he trying saying the head gasket went cause it has low compression at the moment and when I talked to the dealer they said u will have it cause the valves aren't opening all the ways. Any answers on it please let me know hopefully it starts tomorrow after he finishes the timing belt again.

this is why you don't take your car to a joe blow mechanic to have the work done on the timeing for a vw or audi. Unfortunatly most of these cars run interferance engines so yea if they messed your cars timming up there is a good possability they ruined the head gaskets. I have seen more of these vw 2.0L engines in the shop then any for head repairs. Do your self a favor here. Find a good vw/audi mechanic specialist shop in your area and have them take a look at the car. and next time don't use some one who thinks they know what there doing because there are specialists in the audi and vw reapirs for a reason. love your car show it the service pervidor it deserves because the dealer only cares about selling you things jsut like every other joe blow mechanic shop.
