my car sounds like it's overrapping and RPM's stay high even at an idle, any ideas?

Had tune up (plugs changed) recently and ball joint put in, now it sounds like I'm driving a
standard and don't know how to shift properly.

your car is equipped with a cvt trans, at wide open throttle engine rpm's will be around 6000 and the car just goes faster and faster, that is normal, now for the idle, in gear what is the rpm's.

Well took it to dodge dealer yesterday and they told me the idler pulley is falling apart, alternator going out and bad tie rod end which means alignment. today they call to tell me that between the pulley and alternator they have to recharge the A/C system. Up to $800 again this month. I've got more in this car than what it's worth at this point.
