musty odor from a/c

when i use a/c , i get this strong musty,stale,odor blowing out when i ues it, was wondering if i need to clean a filter or something else. i would appreciate any help to solve this issue , thanks

there is a cabin air filter under the dash on the pass side change it and it should go away
