I have a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, The inside lights used to come on when the doos were open, now they don't come on at all. Can you tell me where the switch or fuse is,and how to fix it? Thanks

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First off, I see that I misspelled doors, but anyway, the interior overhead lights do not work anymore. Is there a switch or a fuse to check and where is it located?

I'll assume you checked the bulb. The dome light may have a switch attached to it. If it does it may be a three position switch. Move the switch to each position then open the door to see if it works. If it doesn't, remove the dome light and use a multi-meter to see if current is being supplied. Will the dome light come on if you turn the switch on the dash? Does the light come on if you open the passenger side door?

Might check your dimmer adjustment for your interior lights. Too far in one direction and they are turned off.
