can i swap the 1986 2m4 6cyl fiero engine into my 1988 4cyl fiero?

i have a 88 fiero 4cyl and i want a bigger engine and i want to know if i can put the engine out of my 2m4 fiero parts car into the 4cyl body? and what other engine thats not a v8 would be the easyest swap into my 88 4cyl?

your best idea would to put in a 3.8 v6 from a pontiac bonniville supercharged or not.or a chevy 350 small block.but i dont see y your 6cyl wouldnt fit.there the same body.

yes you can swap the engine,you can also use the 3800 super charged motor from the grand prix gtp,there have even been vw engines installed in fieros...
