I need a new engine for my 1987 Fiero GT. It is currently equipped with a vin code 9 2.8 liter v6. We'd like to stick with a direct interchange junkyard long block. Will the 1989 buick regal FWD motor work?TIA

Here is a link for part interchange for a Fiero. Basically covers any part you might have to pull from another car: http://www.fierosails.com/PartsManual.html As to your question that is not a simple swap. The '89 regal actually uses a gen II version of the 2.8L v6. Fiero still used a Gen I. I do not know how difficult it would be to swap the gen II in, but it is not a direct interchange.
