I installed a battery in backwards in a 2000 land rover discovery 2 The horn honked before I was able to remove battery terminal. Now car won't. Starter will not turn. Dash board lights still work. What did I blow out?

Did the battery survive? you might consider a load test to see if it has any guts left. then chargereee~

the alternator has six diodes that do not like to be reversed...they may be okay....crossin' my fingers-
