why is it called th volante?

Volante means "To Fly" in French and Italian. This car certainly does fly! It's also a name Aston Martin has used since the DB6 series.

Is volante not reserved for only the drop top astons.

also in spanish.......... from the verb volar (to fly)..... and ye, its reserved for the convertible astons...
