Is regular unleaded fuel OK to use in my 2005 Subaru Outback, LL Bean edition, V6 engine? It is not a Turbo.

In a Subaru, if you want it to run properly and last, you should always use premium.

I agree with Nick. I Googled that car and looked at engine specs and was surprised to see how high the compression ratio is: 10.5:1. Premium is, unfortunately (I say that because of price) necessary

According to the manufacturer Premium is strongly recommended in Subaru's because of their engineering. Although it is not required except in Turbo Models,
