I see I have no takers.Where are the Saab gurus? I am a trained GM tech. Need more knowledge on Saabs. Lets see what you know????

if you are a trained GM tech, this should be right up your street ... i assume you have not had any codes read by a tech2 diagnosic box ... failing that, replace the DI with a known good one (borrow one from someone, its cheaper) and try again. DI's are probably the weakest link in that particular chain. you should also check the imobiliser, if memory serves me correctly they work on ignition and not on starter

No codes stored at this time. Please explain what exactly is the immobilizer. Is it a type of theft deterrent system? If I unplug the ECU then plug it back in I will get a pulse to start vehicle then dies and looses pulse.If after vehicle dies and I do not un plug ECU pulse will stay gone. Its only after I unplug ECU and plug back in will I get pulse to start vehicle,but dies right away. P.S. Send help.lol. Thanks John. Continue to aid me as I go along.
