fuel pump relay keeps burning out. brand new fuel pump has already been installed. what could the problem be?

When you say that the relay keeps burning out, do you mean that the coil fails and it doesn't close the contacts or does the coil energize and the contacts don't pass any power to the pump? It's hard to tell why a relay fails without knowing because it's a part of two different circuits.

its burning out at the fuse/relay control center, which is located under the hood and its not turning my fuel pump on
