The primary hood latch is stuck and cant open hood. Any alternative?

Need help, cant get into car hood to check oil or anything.

you should be able to see up under the bumper and behind the grill. you should be able to see where the cable goes to the latch. I had this happen on a 91 chevy, I was able to make a hook out of stiff wire and pull on the cable right where it goes into the latch and release it. this is a bugger to do everytime, so you may want to replace the cable from the inside of the car to the latch.

The question is about a 1992 Buick LeSabre. Please post comments about 1991 unspecified Chevrolets somewhere they are relevant. The hood latch on the 92 Buick LeSabre is between the radiator and the fan shroud. I have no idea how to resolve the issue but I do know that you can not see latch from underside of car.
