What might be the problem with my Town & Country?

Asked by ruhnkwd Aug 15, 2012 at 10:38 PM about the 2002 Chrysler Town & Country LX LWB FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 Chrysler.  Drove it home, everything was fine.  Tried to start the rig back up, and it just makes a fast clicking noise.  Still have power to the radio and lights.

Possibly a starter solenoid ... located on op of starter

I'm sorry .. that's wrong ... if you got one click every time you go to start it ... i would say solenoid ... check you battery cables for a good connection ... I agree with Tom ... not enough amps to battery

If you haven't already bought a battery, remove the battery cables from the battery & clean the battery terminals. Also clean the inside of the battery cables. You can use fine grit sand paper or go to your local auto parts store & buy a tool to clean the terminals & inside of the cables. After reconnecting the terminals (ground cable first) if it still doesn't start, it's probably time to replace the battery.
