Fuel Rail Leakage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
2002 T&C 3.8l - It appears that the fuel rail is leaking on the "capped" end -(opposite of the fuel entry end)- could there be a "pinhole" there, or cap/body rusting?

Have seen this happen before, the cap on the end will come loose,or as you say get a hole,go to parts, store, and get a rubber cap that fit,s it,place hose clamp on it,and you are good to go,it will work i have done it.
Excellent suggestion! I'm in the process of eliminating possibilities of the source of the leak, i.e, end cap, or over-pressure relief valve - suspect, as you suggest, end cap. And thanks for the "rubber cap" option - NEVER would have thought of that! Wasn't looking forward replacing fuel rail itself!

This doesn't work. Fuel will shoot across your intake and soak your engine. You have to have the relief valve, it's there for a reason.
